Например, half an hour – полчаса. Но словосочетание «полтора часа» при этом переводится как “an hour and a half”.
Например, a/one fifth of distance (одна пятая (чего?)
- 1.35 – one point thirty five
- 0.5 centimeter – zero point five of a centimeter, но
- 4.3 centimeter – four point three centimeters.
1/8 | A one eights of the population – одна восьмая населения. | 0.41 | Zero point forty one of a full size – ноль целых сорок одна сотая часть полного объема. |
2/3 | Two thirds of a cake – две трети торта. |
½ | (One) a half of a group – половина группы. | 3.6 | Three point six parts of water – три целых шесть десятых части воды. |
3/5 | Three fifths of a book – три пятых книги. |
4/6 | Four sixths of a country – четыре шестых страны. | 20.4 | Twenty point four of the territory – двадцать целых четыре десятых территории. |
